Nat King Cole makes your English more poetic

Listen to the song and fill in the gaps:

The ......... leaves drift by my window
The ......... leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the ......... kisses
The .......... hand I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow ........
And soon I'll hear ......  ........... song   (2 adjectives are missing here:))
But I miss you most of all, my darling
When ............ leaves start to fall

Adjectives make your English more interesting and poetic. So, falling leaves, summer kiss, sunburnt hand, old winter song, autumn leaves are expressions you can hear in the song. The word "summer", "winter", "spring", "autumn" can be a noun and an adjective as well. You can say: I like summer or I like summer days. (letni, związany z latem).

Think of more expressions with the adjective: autumn.
Think of adjectives you can add to some other words from the song: window (what kind of window?), lips, days.

"Autmn leaves" by:

Diana Krall the song
Eric Clapton the song
Miles Davis the song
Barbra Streisand: the song

All Saints' Day

kiwi

Today, on November 1st, we think of those who are not among us anymore. In English it's called All Saints'  Day or the Day of the Dead. November 2nd is called All Souls' Day. What do we do that day?

We:
- go to church
- visit the graves
- place candles and flowers on graves
- pray for family members
